On September 29-30, 2023, at the University of Veliko Tarnovo " St. Cyril and St. Methodius" the Eighth Annual Conference of the Center for Economic History Research on the topic "Factors of economic growth in historical perspective" was held.

• Assoc. Prof. Ralitsa Simeonova-Ganeva and Assoc. Prof. Kaloyan Ganev in co-authorship with Assoc. Prof. Martin Ivanov - "Monetary reforms and the taming of inflation in communist and post-communist Bulgaria";

• Assoc. Prof. Stella Raleva - "Characteristics and factors of economic growth in Bulgaria from the 1970s to 2009";

• Assoc. Prof. Dimitar Zlatinov and Chief Assist. Prof. Stoyan Shalamanov - "Bulgaria's economic policy in the years of transition and EU membership";

• Assoc. Prof. Sonia Georgieva and Dr. Veselina Shalamanova - "External shocks as a factor for the economic development of Bulgaria and Croatia: historical and contemporary aspects";

• Chief Assist. Prof. Rositsa Zlatinska - "Directions in the activity of the Ministry of Agriculture in the second half of the 1930s - prerequisites and factors"’;

The lecturers from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration took an active part in the conference. The presented materials are going to be published in an edition, indexed in Scopus.

At the General Assembly of the Center for Economic History Research Assoc. Prof. Ralitsa Simeonova-Ganeva, Assoc. Prof. Stella Raleva, Assoc. Prof. Dimitar Zlatinov, Assoc. Prof. Kaloyan Ganev, Ch. Assist. Prof. Stoyan Shalamanov and Dr. Vesselina Shalamanova were approved as members of the Center, which deepens the cooperation between the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of SU "St. Kliment Ohridski" and the community of economic historians in the country.
