From September 2 to 5, 2024, the 12th International Conference "The Power of Entrepreneurship: How Entrepreneurs and Stakeholders Can Build a Sustainable Future" took place in Albena, organized by the Bulgarian Association for Management Development and Entrepreneurship (BAMDE), the Entrepreneurship Institute of the University of National and World Economy (UNWE), the Economic Research Institute at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (ERI at BAS), in partnership with the University of Economics - Varna, and the European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ECSB). The conference's mission was to bring together entrepreneurship professionals and researchers to exchange experiences, discuss issues and best practices in entrepreneurship and management, and respond to the challenges of sustainable development.

Representatives of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" presented papers and shared research results on topics related to entrepreneurship, the green and technological transition, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and innovation. Participants included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ralitsa Simeonova-Ganeva, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kaloyan Ganev, Maria Tsolova - a master's program student, Anna Kiosova - a young scientist, and PhD students Lingling Ma, Tran Thuy Nhung, and Simeon Lazarov.

The conference also included representatives from other universities in Bulgaria and abroad, including Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Italy, Russia, Ukraine, Slovakia, Kosovo, Latvia, and others. Key topics during the conference panels were the United Nations' global sustainable development goals, their impact on small and medium-sized businesses, and the role of entrepreneurship in achieving these goals. Other topics included the role of government and non-governmental organizations in supporting entrepreneurship for sustainability, innovations, technologies, and infrastructure progress in entrepreneurial practice for a transformative economy, the impact of funds and financial institutions on achieving sustainable goals, the management and measurement of the process of achieving sustainable development goals, and opportunities for education and training in entrepreneurship and management.

During the conference, additional discussions and a training seminar were held, hosted by the University of Economics - Varna, where best practices for publication in international scientific journals, refereed and indexed in world-renowned scientific information databases, were discussed.

The conference concluded with a gala dinner and intercultural exchange, where participants had the opportunity to share ideas and contacts to continue their joint work in various areas of sustainable development and entrepreneurship.
