In June 2024, the monograph titled "Local Government Finance and Taxation in Selected Countries" was published. The book addresses selected issues of local finance in various countries. The thematic scope of the studies includes an examination of the municipal revenue system in Germany, Czechia, Slovakia, Latvia, Bulgaria, Albania, France, Spain, China, Brazil, the USA, Belarus, and Poland.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Savina Mihaylova-Goleminova and Chief Assist. Prof. Dr. Desislava Kalcheva contributed to the monograph with a report on the topic "Revenue System of Local Self-Governments in Bulgaria". The report aims to familiarize the audience with the main characteristics of the revenue system of Bulgarian municipalities. It presents key indicators of the financial independence of local governments and analyzes financial data on the structure and dynamics of municipal revenues for the period 2015-2020.

The monograph is the final result of a conference on " "Income systems of local self-governments in selected countries", held in Siedlce, Poland. The event took place from September 27-28, 2023, at the Institute of Political Science and Public Administration at the University of Natural Sciences and Humanities.
