The Bachelor's program "International Trade and Investment" (in English) aims to prepare qualified professionals for work in specific sectors of the economy – international economic relations, trade, and investments.

The program is focused on high-level professional training, involving the acquisition of skills in the field of international and public finance, international economics and law, international entrepreneurship, access to international markets, international investments and innovations, risk assessment skills, and more. The goal of the specialty is to prepare students to participate in the global economy and society.

The curriculum has a strong interdisciplinary character, offering a combination of economic, business, legal, accounting, financial, and investment disciplines. The specialty aims to develop national expertise in preparing specialists in international economic relations by building on the experience of leading higher education institutions in the EU and OECD, which are established centers for scientific research and higher education and are part of the networks of AMBA, AACSB, OECD (Financial Literacy Initiative), the European Investment Bank, and others - with which the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" already has established relations.

The Bachelor's program "International Trade and Investments" in English is open to all candidates who have completed secondary education and have English language proficiency at a minimum level of B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Graduates with a qualification in "Economist in International Trade and Investments" can successfully work in international and national companies, government institutions, national employer organizations, bilateral chambers of commerce in Bulgaria and partner countries, international institutions (European Union, OECD, EIB, etc.), non-governmental organizations in the country and abroad.

Their professional realization includes:

• Analysts in international financial organizations such as the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the World Bank, the European Investment Bank, the European Central Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, etc.;

• Experts in various government institutions such as the Ministry of Economy and Industry, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Innovation and Growth, etc.;

• Experts in departments in ministries, agencies, enterprises, municipal and regional administrations, research units;

• Consultants in the development of national and international investment projects;

• Experts at the Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade representatives abroad;

• Employees at the Embassies of the Republic of Bulgaria, The Trade and Economic Affairs Offices and the Consular and Diplomatic Missions of other countries in the Republic of Bulgaria;

• Experts in national employer organizations;

• Experts in bilateral chambers of commerce in Bulgaria and partner countries;

• Various managerial levels in the economic, financial-accounting, and commercial departments of international and national companies in Bulgaria as well as in the non-governmental sector.

Graduates of the program "International Trade and Investments” in English could further their education in master's programs at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration or other educational institutions in the country and abroad.
