Students from this specialty acquire knowledge and skills to work with microorganisms and tissue cultures, to perform identification and cultivation in laboratorial and industrial conditions, to analyze the biological products and their activity, to know the methods of genetic and cellular engineering and to apply them in their work with microorganisms, animals and plants, to have additional skills in controlling and optimizing the biotechnological processes, to create and apply ecological biotechnologies, biotechnologies for alternative energy supplies and biotechnological synthesis.
Graduates from this specialty acquire the qualification degree Bachelor of Science in Biotechnologies.
