GATE is a joint initiative between Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden and Chalmers Industrial Technology, Sweden. City Living Lab Manager

 

The City Living Lab is designed to be an intelligent lab, digitally enabled to ease data collection, flow and storage of data for learning, research, interaction, collaboration and communication.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Guiding, mentoring and managing the Lab;
  • Planning and deployment of tools and techniques at the lab;
  • Optimizing the connectivity network for control and management of devices and integration middleware;
  • Managing inventory and procurement;
  • Analyzing different communication protocols and networks;
  • Setting up data collection, storage, and processing of integration middleware;
  • Interface with GATE stakeholders;
  • Report generation and data visualization;
  • Define and list all the needed materials and resources;
  • Engage in appropriate training and development opportunities.

 

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in communications, computer engineering, civil engineering or in a related discipline plus a minimum of 5 years experience;
  • Familiarity with sensor technologies and performance metrics;
  • Ability to manage stakeholders both internal and external, including vendors and partners;
  • Ability to lead teams and ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams;
  • Knowledge and experience with IoT technologies and protocols (Bluetooth, Zigbee, Z-Wave, Sigfox, Lora, others);
  • Good programming skills (e.g., C/C++, Java, Python);
  • Ability to communicate complex technical issues in an appropriate, concise and accurate fashion visually and in writing;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments, and a deep desire to find ways to create value and deliver results.
  • Fluent English is a must.

Stages of the contest:

1.The Selection Committee reviews the documents, submitted by the candidates and selects those meeting the requirements of the job, as described in the job profile. The selected candidates will be informed by 6 February 2022.

2.Online interviews will be held with the selected applicants in the period 7 – 18 February 2022.

3.All interviewed candidates will be notified in writing.

4.The successful candidate will be offered a labour contract.
