Period for submission of documents: from 18.05.2020 to 28.05.2020

ROTA-Active project entitled "Rotator phase transitions in drops: new approach for creating multi-active micro- and nanoparticles", funded by the National Science Fund (NSF) to the Ministry of Education and Science of Bulgaria, after winning a competition at the National Scientific Program "Advanced research and people for the Development of European Science” (Vihren), is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow who will be assigned to the position of researcher R2 to fulfil the described functions and duties in the project team:

1. Position in the execution team Researcher R2
2. Functions in the research team Develop procedures and conduct studies to characterize the behaviour of active nanoparticles
3. Education required

Doctorate in one of the professional fields 4.1 Physical Sciences; 4.2 Chemical Sciences; 5.10. Chemical technology; 5.12. Food technology,

which was acquired not earlier than the date of 01.05.2018 (1st May 2018)

4. Expertise required At least 3 scientific articles in the field of disperse systems have been published and in at least 2 of which the applicant has used optical microscopy to conduct research
5. Work experience At least 1 year of experience as a chemist or researcher


The selected member of the project team will be entitled to remuneration for the fulfilment of his/her duties as outlined below:

Project features Postdoctoral researcher working on scientific task 1. Multi-active microparticles
Monthly instalment, incl. 19.02% of the employer 3500 BGN
Monthly sum without social security contributions 2940,69 BGN
Number of months under the project 12 with an option for up to 36 months
Hours per day 8 hours

  • List of attendance at scientific conferences and symposia (where applicable)

Stages of the competition:

  1. Acquaintance with the documents of the candidates and admission to the procedure of those who meet the requirements.
  2. On 29.05.2020 - interview with the admitted candidates.
  3. Interviewed researchers will be informed in writing by 01.06.2020 of the committee's decision.
  4. The selected researcher will be assigned to the project implementation team according to the intended schedule of activities for which he or she is engaged.
