The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” is a partner in DisInfoHack 2026 – a slow, research-based hackathon that engages participants in developing practical solutions to real-world scenarios related to information resilience and countering disinformation. The format is process-oriented and combines teamwork, mentoring support, and a final presentation assessed by an expert jury. Applications are open from February 23 to 27, 2026.

The goal of DisInfoHack 2026 is to create an environment for systematic work (not a short “sprint”), where teams have time for analysis, iterations, and refinement of their solutions with mentor support, followed by a final presentation evaluated by an expert jury. The format is suitable for students interested in media literacy, analysis, communications, data and technology, public policy, and education.
Prize fund (cash equivalent): EUR 750 for 1st place, EUR 500 for 2nd place, and EUR 200 for 3rd place.
