On March 18 at 17:30, an open lecture by Lyubomir Datsov, member of the Fiscal Council of the Republic of Bulgaria, will take place in Room 400, Block 4 of the Faculty of Philosophy at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. The lecture will be on the topic “Fiscal Policy and the Role of Fiscal Councils”.
The lecture is organized by the Department of European Studies at the Faculty of Philosophy. All interested students and faculty members from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration are invited to attend.

Mr. Datsov is one of the established Bulgarian experts in the field of public finance management. During his career, he served as Deputy Minister of Finance (2001–2008) and participated in Bulgaria’s European integration process as a member of the Economic and Financial Committee of the Council of the European Union. He has also been involved in the preparations for the Bulgarian lev’s entry into the Exchange Rate Mechanism II (ERM II) and for the introduction of the euro in Bulgaria.
