On December 8 and 9, 2022, the Association for Production, Storage and Trade in Electricity (APSTE), the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and Utilities magazine organized the third edition of the training “Good practices in the construction of photovoltaic plants”. Earlier in the year, two more editions of the same training were held, with a total of over 200 industry professionals participating in the three events.

The event was opened by the chairman of APSTE, Nikola Gazdov, and the dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atanas Georgiev. Lecturers in the training were Marijana Yaneva, Director of Policies, APSTE; Asen Asenov, Investment Projects Manager, Eneri; Dimitar Vlaevski, lawyer, Schoenherr; Dimitar Dimitrov, Renewable Energy Insurance Agent; Dimitar Tsekov, Technical Director, Renergy; Nikola Nedelchev, Director Sunotec Academy; Rositsa Chopeva, Partner xFigure Finance. The training is part of the initiatives related to the master's program “Energy Markets and Services” at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration.

The course is based on SolarPower Europe's “Guide to Best Practices in the Design, Procurement and Construction of Photovoltaic Power Plants”, which APSTE translated, supplementing it with guidelines from the experience of Bulgarian companies – members of APSTE, both local and international markets.

All participants received certificates for their participation from the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at the end of the second day.

Due to the great interest in the previous editions, the organizers are planning further trainings in 2023.
