On March 5 and 6, a joint scientific seminar was held in Cologne, Germany, with the participation of representatives of Sofia University – the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) and the Faculty of Social Sciences (WiSo) of the University of Cologne. The event was dedicated to the topic "Aspects of the social economy, new models of governance, regional networks, sustainability and creativity".

The scientific seminar was organized within the framework of the TWIN4ECO project, financed through a specialized scheme of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan at the Executive Agency "Education Program", aimed at building the capacity of partner organizations through the exchange of knowledge and the development of interdisciplinary research.

WiSo-Cologne

A working meeting was also held between FEBA’s Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atanas Georgiev and Prof. Dr. Ulrich Thonemann, Dean of WiSo. The meeting was attended by the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration for "Research, Innovation and Projects" Assoc. Prof. Dr. Todor Yalamov, and by Prof. Dr. Frank Schulz-Nieswandt from WiSo, University of Cologne. During the discussion, the possibilities for expanding and deepening the academic partnership were discussed, including the development of new joint research initiatives, educational activities and forms of academic exchange. The seminar created a favorable environment for intensive scientific dialogue, exchange of ideas and outlining future directions for sustainable cooperation and new joint activities.
