Chief Assistant Professor Dr. Mariya Trifonova was invited to join the Academic Sounding Board of the Cohesion for Transition (C4T) platform, a new initiative of the Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy of the European Commission.

The platform aims to support cohesion territories in better utilizing EU funds for sustainability transitions. C4T includes national, regional and local practitioners with a focus on cohesion policies, to share experiences and good practices, establish partnerships, and jointly identify solutions. C4T also provides technical assistance to facilitate the development and/or implementation of regional sustainability transitions.

On June 7, 2023, the first meeting of the platform was held, with Dr. Trifonova representing the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University.
