A ceremony was held in the Auditorium of the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” for the awarding of the “Quality Mark” award. The event is held at the initiative of the rector's management and the University Center for Quality Management.

The “Quality Mark” award is an expression of Sofia University's desire to promote good practices and achievements of representatives of its academic community, who contribute to the establishment of high-quality standards. All applicants receive a certificate of participation. The winners receive a specially made plaque. The ceremony was attended by the rector of the Sofia University Prof. Anastas Gerdzhikov, vice-rectors, deans of the faculties, teachers, representatives of the administration, students.

The “Quality Mark” distinction is awarded annually for developing and validating the quality system of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. The goal is to ensure the leading role of the university and its structural units based on high criteria and that all activities of the university are performed in accordance with the established rules, standards and procedures, to create conditions for improvements in every single university activity: scientific- research, educational process, administrative services, social and household services for students and their implementation.

At the ceremony, the lecturers of the master’s program “Responsible and Sustainable Governance” and the Department of “Economics and Management by Sectors” of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration were awarded with a “Quality Mark" prize in the “Significant Innovation” category.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marina Stefanova, head of the master’s program “Responsible and Sustainable Governance”, commented: “An entrepreneurial approach, teamwork and a close relationship with our external partners are necessary for the success of an innovation. Here at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, these ingredients are available. Thank you to everyone who realizes that sustainable development starts “from the bench” and trusts our expertise and passion to prepare thoroughly on the subject”.
