Assoc. Prof. Dr. Savina Mihaylova-Goleminova has written a chapter on Twenty – First Century Tax Challenges of the EU Candidate Countries in “The Oxford Handbook of International Tax Law”, Handbook Series, OUP.

Editors of the book are Prof. Dr. Florian Haase, M.I.Tax Chair for German, International and European Tax Law, HSBA Hamburg School of Business Administration, Hamburg (Germany) and Prof. Dr. Georg Kofler, LL.M., Chair for Finance Law, Tax Law and Tax Politics, Johannes Kepler University, Linz (Austria).

Authors are more than 40 highly-regarded scholars from EU Member States and other major countries. The handbook provides a cutting-edge analysis of the core issues facing contemporary international taxation, combines international taxation with other legal and non-legal fields of research, analyses the country- and region-specific challenges of international taxation.

Associate Professor Dr. Savina Mihaylova-Goleminova is a lecturer in Financial, Corporate and Tax Law at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Sofia University “St.Kliment Ohridski”, Department “Economy and Industry Management”, Director, Master’s Program “Economics&Management of Public Resources”, specialized at IBFD (Amsterdam, The Netherlands) and Oxford University (United Kingdom).

Member of Administrative and Legal Studies Department, Faculty of Law at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” (1993- 2019). She is a member of Sofia Bar Association, European Association of Tax Law Professors (EATLP) and representative of Bulgarian IFA Branch at IFA WIN. She is an author of many publications in the field of Financial and Tax Law. She was advisor to the Speaker of Bulgarian National Assembly and its IPEX Correspondent (2005-2009) and also advisor to the Interim Deputy Prime Minister for EU Funds, Council of Ministers of the Republic of Bulgaria, etc.

February 2021 - Independent expert in the list of independent persons, maintained by the European Commission, according to the Council Directive (EU) 2017/1852 of 10 October 2017 on tax dispute resolution mechanisms in the European Union, as defined by the Decision No-CO-17/19.02.2021 of the Executive Director of the Bulgarian National Revenue Agency. She speaks Bulgarian, English, Russian
