On December 21^st, a training and educational company in the field of accounting was launched with the support of the dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atanas Georgiev – and the head of the “Finance and Accounting” department – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marcelen Yovogan.

The opening was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yovogan, Assoc. Prof. Dr. E. Stancheva, lecturer of accounting, and Head Assist. Dr. N. Katsarski, certified head of the training company. Assoc. Prof. Yovogan congratulated the students for their involvement in this initiative of the faculty and commented on the importance of finance and accounting education, the traditions of which are maintained in the department. He explained that every beginning is difficult, but he believes in innovation in general and also in innovations like the training company and has no doubt in the future success of the company. Dr. Katsarski presented the main concepts of work at the company and detailed the main activities that are to come, as well as the functions of the participants in it. He explained that all the necessary documents for the establishment of the company have been submitted to the Center for Educational and Training Companies at the Ministry of Education and Science.

The training will be carried out with specialized ERP software, which businesses and government institutions work with. It will provide students with the opportunity to apply their accounting knowledge in a simulated business environment.
