Prof. Dr. Eng. Fantina Rangelova was born in 1965 in the city of Sofia.
She completed her higher education at “Transport Construction” in 1988 at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy (UACEG).
In 2004, she obtained a Doctorate degree at the UACEG, Sofia on the topic "Effective constructive, technological and organizational solutions for the restoration and strengthening of buildings after earthquakes and natural disasters, and during reconstruction and modernization".
She studied in post-graduate qualification in “Social Management” and “International Economic Relations” at UACEG.
During the period 1997-1998, she was a Visiting Researcher at Oregon State University, Oregon, USA.
She worked as a Сhief Еxpert in the Executive Agency “Roads” at the Ministry of Defense and the Executive Agency “Military Clubs and Military Recreation” at the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Bulgaria.
Since 1995, she has been a visiting lecturer in the “Organization and Economics of Construction” department at the Faculty of Construction of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences. Since 2008, she has been an Associate Professor in the department, and since 2015 – a Professor. She teaches in the Faculties of Construction and Architecture of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences in the disciplines “Construction Organization and Management”, “Construction Economics”, “Project Management Standards”, “Management of Construction Investment Projects”, “Risk Management in the Protection of Immovable Cultural Heritage”, “Analysis and evaluation of a project for the management and protection of immovable cultural heritage”, etc.
Member of the Chamber of Engineers in Investment Design and a designer with full design authorization in part “Constructions, Organization and implementation of the construction” and in part “Transport construction and transport facilities”.
Certified appraiser and member of the “Chamber of Independent Appraisers in Bulgaria” (CIAB) by:
- “Real estates”, incl. REV European valuer certificate from TEGoVA, The European Group of Valuers’ Associations;
- “Intellectual and industrial property and other factual circumstances”
- “Agricultural lands and permanent crops”;
- “Machinery and equipment”.
Certified expert from Technical University Sofia with a Certificate of professional qualification in “Energy efficiency survey and certification of buildings”.
Founder, Leader and teacher of the master’s program “Construction Project Management” at the Faculty of Construction of UACEG.
Founder and organizer of scientific and applied conferences with international participation on “Construction Project Management” and on “Restoration and strengthening of buildings and facilities”.
Co-leader for the UACEG of the project “BG05M2OP001-1.001-0001 “Construction and development of a center of excellence “HERITAGE BG” with laboratories: “Central research laboratory for documentation and modeling of immovable cultural heritage” and “Central Research Laboratory for Conservation and Restoration of Immovable Cultural Heritage”.
