GATE institute “Big Data for Smart Society” is an autonomous research institute, established in 2019 in Sofia, Bulgaria as a joint initiative between Sofia University Bulgaria, Chalmers University of Technology and Chalmers Industrial Technology, Sweden. Its mission is to accelerate the Big Data and Artificial Intelligence research, innovation and education in collaboration with government, industry and society as a whole.

GATE is focused on developing research capacity in 4 Data Science areas:

  • Big Data Management
  • Big Data Analytics
  • Big Data Insight
  • Software Engineering for Big Data and AI

GATE will provide an attractive and stimulating research environment, an advanced infrastructure, including 3 Open Innovation Labs (Citi Living Lab, Digital Twin Lab, Visualization Lab) and holistic platform, integrating Big Data, IoT and AI emerging technologies. With respect to its planned intensive development in 2020, GATE CoE is looking for а:

 

Office manager

 

Responsibilities:

  • Research, gather and analyze information to prepare reports, letters, administrative documents and presentation;
  • Maintain efficient document management and filing systems;
  • Manage the incoming and outgoing correspondence;
  • Coordinate the schedule of the Director and arrange key meetings and appointments;
  • Manage bookings for travel and accommodation arrangements;
  • Ensure effective organization of meetings and other events;

 

Skills, experience and qualifications:

  • University degree in Business Administration or a related field;
  • Self-motivated and results-driven individual, able to deliver within short deadlines
  • Punctuality, attention to detail and positive attitude, to ensure excellent administrative service to both internal team members and external contacts;
  • Еxcellent oral and written communication skills in both Bulgarian and English;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office package;High integrity, honesty and ethical standards.
