This is the second sustainability report of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” , who at the same time fulfills his obligations to the UN Global Compact international initiative, of which SU has been a member since 2016. The document reviews the institution's performance, objectives, achievements, quantitative data and non-financial information for the period 1 January 2019 – 31 December 2021.
The University is the first higher education institution in Bulgaria that reports its progress in implementing the Global Goals of the UN publication on sustainable development and participates in the prestigious United Nations TNE Impact Rankings. It contains 17 questions with 16 directions related to the social sphere, healthcare, education and the environment – carbon emissions, ecology, climate, water. To participate in the ranking, each university must include at least 4 fields.
Students from the master’s program “Responsible and Sustainable Governance” of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration participated in the creation of the Report under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marina Stefanova, lecturer at FEBA and head of the program.
