The monograph “Business Planning” with author Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teodor Atanasov has been published. The book is a publication of the University Publishing House “St. Kliment Ohridski”.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teodor Atanasov is a lecturer at the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. Holds a master's degree in “Economics” from the University of National and World Economy and has a doctorate in “Administration and Management” from the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. His scientific interests are in the field of economic reform, development of strategies and sectoral policies, privatization and restructuring of the economy and management of Bulgarian companies.


The monograph “Business Planning” examines basic theoretical-methodological and practical issues related to business planning as a process and the company business plan as a company strategic document of the highest order. The essence of business planning, its need and benefit is outlined. The set of necessary analyzes and their corresponding tools, needed to clarify the environment of the company – external and internal, were considered, and the possible interpretation of their results was indicated based on numerous examples. The formulation of company goals and strategies in the business plan is substantiated in direct connection and compliance with the mission and vision for the company formulated therein. The main guidelines related to the development of the marketing, production and financial sections of the business plan are discussed.

The book draws on a wide range of scientific literature. The numerous author's comments and references to literary and other informational sources allow the interested reader to expand his knowledge on specific issues and follow the development of one or another concept or discussion issue.

The monograph is intended for senior management in small and medium-sized companies and business management consultants. It would also be of interest to budding entrepreneurs as well as university students studying business management.
