The 6-week training program, part of the competition "Best Youth Startup in Bulgaria 2023" of the Fund of Funds and Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" and with the participation of over 20 partner organizations from the investment and startup environment in our country. Over 40 individual participants and teams submitted applications for the second edition of the national competition. The projects are at different stages - from the conceptual phase to a functioning product/service with a solid client base The mentoring program that the participants will go through in the coming weeks is adapted to their age and to the development phase of the projects.

The participants were welcomed both by representatives of the Fund of Funds and by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" - Assoc. Prof. Atanas Georgiev, and Assoc. Prof. Savina Mihailova-Goleminova - lecturer in financial and tax law at the Faculty.

The authors of the projects are students or graduates of 17 universities from the cities of Sofia, Varna, Burgas, Plovdiv, Ruse and Blagoevgrad, as well as those abroad - the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, the Russian Federation, etc. Part of the second edition of the competition are projects of students from 7 Bulgarian high schools. Among the submitted applications are projects at the concept level, but more than half are for those with a ready prototype, first users or a growing customer base.

In the weeks leading up to June 6, teams will be trained in over 40 online and in-person mentoring sessions and events. Lectures are planned on: preparation of a business plan; team building and idea validation; raising financing through microcredit, equity investments, business angels and on the stock exchange; visits to various partner organizations; meetings with successful startup founders and more. The final of the competition "Best Youth Startup" 2023 will take place on June 7, and the ten best ideas will be allowed to be presented to investors. Until that date, the participants will also have trainings for working with investors and presenting to them, as well as work on presentations and the development of their projects.
