The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) of Sofia University, Assoc. Prof. Atanas Georgiev, visited the Academy of Economic Studies (ASE) in Bucharest on the occasion of the official celebration of its 110th anniversary. Prof. Georgiev visited the Academy at the invitation of the Executive Board of ASE and the Dean of Bucharest Business School, Prof. Vasile Strat.

During the anniversary, several academic seminars and conferences were held. On April 6, at a special ceremony in the Aula Magna of the ASE, the former President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, was officially awarded an honorary degree of ASE in the presence of the Romanian President Klaus Iohannis.

The Academy of Economic Studies was founded on April 6, 1913, and over 18,000 students are currently studying there.
