Dr. Aleksandаr Vasilev
Dr. Aleksandar Vasilev is an affiliated researcher at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration studying the regional and economic impact of the European projects in Bulgaria funded by Sofia University Science Fund.
He is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Economics and a Program Leader of the MSc Economics Program, University of Lincoln, UK. Dr. Vasilev is an experienced macroeconomist who has written 3 books, 14 book chapters, more than 135 published articles in peer-reviewed journals, over 60 reviews, and 25 technical reports. Dr. Vasilev was recently ranked by REPEC 43rd out of approximately 4700 economists in the UK, based on research output from the last 10 years.
Dr. Vasilev received his PhD from the University of Glasgow (Scotland) and after that was CERGE-EI Post-Doctoral Fellow (Prague, Czech Republic).
Dr. Vasilev occasionally offers post-graduate courses on Dynamic Macroeconomics, Dynamic Optimization, System Dynamics, Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium (DSGE) Models, Real-Business-Cycle (RBC) and New-Keynesian (NK) Models, Exogenous and Endogenous Economic Growth, Economic Development, Fiscal Policy, Labor markets, Indeterminacy and Multiplicity of Equilibria, Aggregation in the presence of non-convexity, Computational Methods, and Monetary models.
