On January 11, 2024, the first joint meeting between the teams of the project "Violence against Women: typologies, economic and social consequences" was held at the University of National and World Economy (UNWE). The project is implemented by two teams - a team led by Prof. Georgi Petrunov from UNWE and a team led by Prof. Albena Vutsova from SU - Faculty of Economics and Business Administration.

The project is one of the few with clear institutional and scientific integrity and ranked first in the last session of The Bulgarian National Science Fund in the field of Social Sciences.

With this meeting, the work on the project was officially started, and the main tasks for the first 9 months were outlined. On behalf of SU - Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, participants in the project are Prof. Albena Vutsova, Assoc. Prof. Todor Yalamov, Chief Assist. Prof. Emil Mitov, Chief Assist. Prof. Martina Arabadzhieva, PhD student Plamena Kalaidzhieva, as well as Assoc. Prof. Aleksey Pamporov from the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
