On October 1, 2025, in Hall 420 of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, the new academic year was officially opened for the first-year students in the bachelor’s program “International Trade and Investment“ (in English).

Official greetings to the students were delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atanas Georgiev, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration; Prof. Dr. Sc. Sonia Mileva-Bozhanova, Vice-Rector for Career Development, Alumni, Employer and Business Relations; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marina Stefanova, Vice-Dean for “Sustainability, Empowerment, and Engagement”.

The event continued with a short presentation on organizational matters related to the educational process, delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Desislava Kalcheva, coordinator of the bachelor’s program “International Trade and Investment”. At the end of the ceremony, the freshmen received their student record books.

The new bachelor’s program will host students from China, Iran, Ukraine, Russia, Egypt, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, and other countries. The program has also attracted Bulgarian students returning from foreign universities, which highlights the international character and attractiveness of the offered education.
