On 18 November 2025, the course “Organizational and Managerial Models for Quality and Organizational Excellence” (Business Administration, 4th year) welcomed two guest speakers: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Todor Yalamov, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, and Mr. Attila Yenisen, who has had a long career at METRO Cash & Carry (Director for Bulgaria; Director for Central and Eastern Europe; Executive Vice President of the Group in Germany).
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Todor Yalamov introduced students to the tool “Planning under Risk and Uncertainty.” He illustrated the topic with extensive data on companies that have used scenario planning at different stages of their development.
Mr. Attila Yenisen is a PhD student in Management at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, where he is working to conceptualize his more than 20 years of managerial experience.
Mr. Yenisen presented to the audience his original PEACOCK model (purpose, expectations, alignment, competitive advantage, operations, control, keeping connected). The model summarizes the lessons learned and the challenges faced by functional managers on their path to becoming generalist managers—leaders with a comprehensive vision of how an organization operates and develops.
Students received valuable guidance on strategic planning in times of change. The two guest lecturers demonstrated how, with a clear vision and the right managerial tools, horizons can confidently be expanded forward.
