On 8 and 9 November 2025, the Seventh National Student Mediation Competition, organized by the Association “Center for Dispute Resolution” was held in the “Preslav” Hall of the Hemus Hotel.

The competition brought together 22 teams from 9 universities in Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, and Veliko Tarnovo. Students had the opportunity to apply in practice their skills in negotiation, interest-based communication, conducting mediation procedures, and resolving real cases.

The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration participated with two teams, composed as follows:

Team 1:
• Kalina Ilieva (3rd year, Business Administration major – mediator);
• Blagovesta Koleva (4th year, Management major – client);
• Aleksandra Misheva (4th year, Management major – lawyer).

Team 2:
• Slavena Dudrenova (4th year, Management major – mediator);
• Elena Dobreva (4th year, Economics and Finance major – client);
• Ladelaide Lagadova (4th year, Economics and Finance major – lawyer).

The teams were coached by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ivanka Mihaylova and Katya Nikolova (4th year, Economics and Finance major), who ranked first in the team standings at the Sixth National Student Mediation Competition.

Slavena Dudrenova won first place in the “Mediator” category.

All participants from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration received certificates of excellent performance. The success once again reaffirms the faculty’s leading position in the field of mediation and demonstrates that the training our students receive equips them to manage real-world situations with confidence and professionalism.

Following the competition, the students and their coaches were officially congratulated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atanas Georgiev, Dean of the Faculty, and their awards were displayed in the Hall of Fame.
