At the second edition of the NEXT DIFI AWARDS 2025, organizations driving progress in the financial and fintech sectors were honored. The official award ceremony took place in Sofia, celebrating leading banking and non-banking institutions, insurance and pension companies, as well as technology and investment firms.

For the first time in the competition’s history, two university lecturers were recognized in the category “Innovation in Financial Education”. These were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bozhidar Nedev and Prof. Dr. Deyan Radev, awarded for their innovative contributions to financial education. They have successfully built a strong partnership between the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University and the FinTech industry.

As a result, the Master’s Program “Finance, Investments and FinTech”, the course “FinTech and E-Banking”, and the hackathon “From Zero to FinTech” have become a model for modern, practice-oriented education.
