The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA), in cooperation with the University of Reading, United Kingdom, organizes the second part of the course on international macroeconomics. The course is going to be conducted by Assoc. Prof. Alexander Mihailov.

The course is designed for PhD students, postgraduates, and colleagues with interests in the field of international macroeconomics. It is going to be held from February 13 to 16, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in hall 520.

The course covers the following topics:

  • Modern approaches in the field of international macroeconomics and international finance;
  • Static and dynamic macroeconomic approaches to the balance of payments and the exchange rate;
  • Static and dynamic models of the open economy - methodology and modern applications;
  • Analysis of the effectiveness of macroeconomic policy under different exchange-rate regimes;
  • Stochastic models for financial asset analysis and risk sharing under uncertainty.
