On November 7 at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA), an innovative digital library was presented, in which more than 300 scientific facts related to sustainable development are presented in a fascinating and visually attractive way. The Virtual Library "Stories and Facts about Sustainability" was created on the initiative of the Association of Graduates of FEBA, in partnership with Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski, and implemented with the support of the "Europe" Program of Sofia Municipality.

The event was opened by the Dean of FEBA, Assoc. Prof. Atanas Georgiev. He emphasized the importance of the project with the words: "The University, as part of society, has undertaken to spread knowledge, scientific innovations and possible solutions related to the realization of the goals us for sustainable development. For us, this project is extremely important, because the involvement of secondary school teachers and young people in the topics of the future of the world is a priority for the scientific community".

In his welcoming words, Alexander Alexandrov, Chairman of the Association of Graduated Students of FEBA, emphasized the importance of building continuity between generations, the exchange of knowledge and skills, maintaining the connection with the university, and the readiness to assist in the processes and projects developing the next generation of young people inquisitive people and pointed out that the digital library is just such a project.

Assoc. Prof. Marina Stefanova, Deputy Dean of FEBA and Head of the project, welcomed the guests and expressed confidence that this is the right way for public engagement on topics related to sustainability: "Our goal is to make young people aware of the seriousness of the problems and be active participants in solving them on the one hand, and on the other hand - to provoke thinking and to inspire young people to proactively take action to support the sustainable development of the world we live in".

Kristina Mircheva, Public Relations expert for the project, presented the library and its functionalities to the audience. The library is a fully digital resource that can be consumed anywhere and anytime through the specially created website and its mobile version. The library provides information on current challenges and possible solutions in the fields of Environment and Society and contains facts and stories on topics such as energy, water, food, waste, biodiversity, poverty, peace and security, education, health, and more.

Within the project, two books have been developed, as well as separate information sheets that can be downloaded completely free of charge and quickly here: https://biblioteka.febalumni.org/. The resources can be an invaluable aid to secondary school teachers in developing open lessons, coursework topics and projects.

A promo video was also broadcast at the event, presenting the full thematic palette of the library.
