On the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3), the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) installed its first Braille signs. In the coming days, the entire building will be equipped with such signage.

The initiative was spearheaded by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marina Stefanova, Vice-Dean for Sustainability, Empowerment, and Engagement. "We have been preparing this labeling for the past six months. For us, it is another step towards creating a more accessible environment for people with visual impairments. It reflects the values outlined in the European Diversity Charter and implements the recommendations from the training on the inclusion of students with special educational needs held earlier this year", she shared.

The Faculty team has been working in collaboration with the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (IICT-BAS). Special thanks were extended to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nikolay Stoimenov, Deputy Director of IICT-BAS, for his specialized translation of the signs.

The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration is the second public building at Sofia University, following the Faculty of Educational Studies and the Arts (FESA), to fully label its rooms and spaces.
