With a twinning project for BGN 2.7 million from the National Plan for Recovery and Resilience, the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of SU "St. Kliment Ohridski" is going to bring experience and capacity from leading universities in Europe. There are two main topics in the project - modeling of energy markets and innovations in the energy industry. Partners are four leading universities – the University of Cologne, the Vienna University of Technology, the Dublin University of Technology, and the University of Groningen. The information was announced by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of the SU “St. Kliment Ohridski" - Assoc. Prof. Atanas Georgiev in the program "The World is Business" on Bloomberg TV Bulgaria.

The twinning project TWIN4ECO is going to be implemented until the middle of 2026. With it, scientific publications from developments are going to be visible in international databases of indexed journals. "Within the framework of the project, many on-site training sessions are going to take place. They are going to be held on-site by leading researchers from the four universities. The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration is going to send its researchers to these four leading centers related to energy economics", pointed out Assoc. Prof. Georgiev.

He explained that the main measures of the twinning projects are aimed at more mobility, joint scientific research, and increasing research and administrative capacity. According to him, traditional financing is not enough in these areas.
