On November 12, 2021, Mr. Apostol Dyankov (WWF Bulgaria) was a guest lecturer in the master's program "Responsible and Sustainable Governance". He spoke about his experience as an observer and analyst of major international initiatives related to climate change, incl. the just-concluded International Conference on Climate Change in Scotland, the so-called COP26.
Students learned more about the specific steps in developing, implementing and funding company climate policies. Mr. Dyankov shared his impressions of the latest international documents in this direction, incl. and the first global corporate standard, Net-Zero, presented by the Science-Based Targets Initiative before the Glasgow meeting.
Mr. Apostol Dyankov is a senior climate expert at WWF Bulgaria. Works to improve national and European climate policies, and helps institutions and companies implement nature-based solutions to mitigate and adapt to climate change. He has over 10 years of experience in assessing and valuing ecosystem services, within European projects and corporate initiatives. Since 2014 he has been training young people starting a business within the green entrepreneurship program GREENT of JA Bulgaria. Participates as a mentor and trainer in the youth entrepreneurial platform PandaLabs.
