What has AMBA accreditation and membership of the AMBA network meant for your school since your accreditation was first announced?

Since 1888, Sofia University has always been a beacon of knowledge for Bulgarian society. Its Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) was the first fully transformed business school in the country after the political upheaval of 1989.

FEBA's AMBA accreditation is an important step for the school's internationalisation and its further integration into the global business education community. We believe that this is a turning point for our country and our school, as it is also our first step towards obtaining triple-crown accreditation in the coming years. Existing and new partners are already looking for more opportunities to collaborate with us.

How would you describe your business school's unique selling point to other members of the AMBA network?

Our business school is a leader because it brings together a community of leaders among faculty, students and partners. We are positioned on a crossroad of continents, cultures and economic systems so we teach in four languages - Bulgarian, English, German and French.

As a research university, we are also a highly valued partner for many international studies and EU Horizon innovation projects. Together with other members of the AMBA network, we can explore international opportunities for global MBAs that create a strong impact locally. Building on our excellent connections across Europe, the America, Asia and Africa, we can also develop and support programmes with global synergies.
