Last month, an Alumni Club was established for the students who graduated from the Master's program "Outsourcing Projects and Companies" at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. The club's launch was announced at a special event organized in collaboration with the Association for Innovation, Business Excellence, Services, and Technology (AIBEST), a partner of the program.

The opening took place in a landmark building for business in Sofia - Megapark. There, students had the opportunity to meet and build contacts with representatives of AIBEST companies. At the event, the diplomas of the last graduates of the postgraduate qualification course "Management of outsourcing projects and companies" were awarded.

"I am proud that we were able to create a community of leaders. The quality of teaching in our joint master's program is largely due to our partnership with AIBEST. To turn the students into real professionals, each discipline in the program has at least two guest speakers who are representatives of the business", commented Assoc. Prof. Nikolay Netov, Director of the program.

The master's degree dedicated to outsourced services has existed since 2019 and about 60 students have passed through it. At the establishment of the Alumni Club, some of the students who completed the master's program shared their motivation to enroll in this particular program, as well as the effect of the acquired knowledge on their successful career development. They all highlighted the contribution of Hristina Stoyanova, PhD, who is the driving force behind the creation and sustainable development of the master's program and the postgraduate qualification course in the field of outsourced business services. Dr. Stoyanova is an Operations Manager at HP Inc. and has more than 10 years of experience in project management and outsourced activities.

At the establishment of the Alumni Club, Ivan Georgiev, Co-founder and Executive Director of Pontica Solutions and member of the board of AIBEST, stated that the next 10 years will be marked by the sign of retraining. "It will be led by business, not universities. The creation of an Alumni Club for our master's program is important for everyone because maintaining contacts between like-minded people is at the heart of the success of our fast-growing industry".

"At AIBEST, we believe that the good cooperation of business and the academic community is the right step towards the retention of young people and their development in Bulgaria, as well as for the development of our entire industry. The most important factor for the success of a company is not the price of the offered service, nor is it the added value it creates, but the management of this organization. It is he who sets the direction and guides the process towards successful development. Building skills and competencies based on solving real business cases from our field are the basis of our general master's program. Therefore, I am sure that through it we create the future leaders in our industry", added Ivan Rusev, R&D director at Experian Bulgaria and member of the board of directors at AIBEST.
