The authors Boryana Bogdanova, Angel Marchev, Vladimir Zakov, Denis Stefannov and Kiril Genov published a paper in IFAC-PapersOnLine presenting a general framework for analysis and forecasting of air pollution in the city of Sofia. For the purposes of their work, the authors use the air pollution indicator particulate matter - PM10, which is among the most frequently exceeded in the metropolitan city. Stepping on existing scientific publications and data provided by air quality stations of Sofia Municipality, Executive Agency Environment and the civil network airsofia.info they built a predictive model and introduced a methodological framework.

The published scientific work is realised within the INNOAIR project, whose main goal is to improve the air quality in Sofia, by introducing a combination of complex measures, including public transport on-demand, green corridors, congestion charges and low-emission zones.

The publication is available through the link.
