We are pleased to announce that the 6th Southeast European Conference on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems (SDEWES 2026) will be held in Burgas, Bulgaria, from 28 June to 1 July 2026. The event will be co-organized by the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and the Burgas Branch of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”.
The SDEWES Conferences are well-established international forums dedicated to the exchange of knowledge, policies, and technologies that advance sustainable development by decoupling economic growth from the use of natural resources and promoting the transition to a knowledge-based economy. The event addresses sustainable development through its economic, environmental, and social dimensions, fostering scientific and professional dialogue in the search for innovative solutions.
The Call for Abstracts is now open! We invite all interested researchers and professionals to submit their proposals and join this prestigious scientific event in Burgas in 2026.
Deadline for abstract submission: 15 November 2025.
In addition to the presentation of research papers and results, the conference offers an opportunity for selected works to be published in special issues of partner scientific journals. Only papers presented at the conference by one of the authors may be invited for publication. Detailed submission instructions will be provided in the invitation letter, and all manuscripts will undergo a peer-review process in accordance with the policies of the respective journal.
More information on deadlines and participation guidelines will be available soon on the official conference website: https://www.burgas2026.sdewes.org/
