During the summer semester of this academic year, the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and the European Investment Bank (EIB) successfully held a series of guest lectures in a new partnership between the two institutions. The moderator of the guest lectures was the Dean of the FEBA Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atanas Georgiev.

The last speaker in the series was Werner Schmidt, Director of the EIB's Environment and Sustainable Territorial Development Department, who presented the topic "EIB, the Bank for Climate Resilience" to students at the FEBA on 3 June. The lecture was also included in the master's program in "Energy Markets and Services" and in "Business Administration" in English.

 

The lectures held during this school year were:

 

Lilyana Pavlova, EIB Vice President;

 

  • Iliana Tsanova, Deputy Managing Director of the European Fund for Strategic Investments;
  • Andreas Beikos, Director of the European Investment Bank Office in Bulgaria;
  • Hristo Stoyanov from the office of the European Investment Fund in Sofia;
  • Werner Schmidt, Director of the Environment and Sustainable Territorial Development Department at the EIB.

 

 

 

The Faculty of Economics thanks the EIB Group and all guest speakers for the partnership. The guest lectures will continue in the next school year.
