This major is a 5-year (10-semester) master course in full compliance with the national state regulations and with EU directives 2005/36 and 2006/100. The education is held in English. More details can be found on the web page of the programme.
Application guidelines for the academic year 2024/2025
A combined written admission exam has to be passed, consisting of three components – a test in Chemistry, a test in Biology, and a test of the English language proficiency. The examination is carried out in English. The topics of Chemistry and Biology cover the material taught in secondary school and the English language skills should allow smooth written and spoken communication with the applicant during the education. The applicants can sit for the exam once in September (see the Application timeline below). The duration of the admission exam is 4 astronomic hours. Only applicants who have passed all three components of the exam are eligible for ranking. The three components (on the condition that they have been passed) contribute to the final grade as follows: 40 % Chemistry, 40 % Biology, 20 % English.
Ranking is done in descending order of the grade from the admission exam.
The first 30 candidates from the ranking list will be admitted. The remaining candidates will be placed on a waiting list. People from the waiting list will be admitted only if someone from the originally ranked candidates declines admission.
Eligible candidates are citizens from EU member states and from non-EU countries with completed secondary education who are entitled to continue their education in a higher education institution. Tuition (each semester) fees have to be paid.
