The students from the Vocational School for Computer Programming and Innovation (VSCPI) in Burgas, showcased their skills brilliantly at AmCham Hackathon 2024. Eight students from the third associated school in Bulgaria and the first in Burgas, affiliated with Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", participated in the hackathon organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in February 2024.

As part of the partnership between the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University and the Vocational School for Computer Programming and Innovation (VSCPI) in Burgas, students from the high school were given the opportunity to compete in teamwork on real business cases.

The hackathon finals included presenting the team's solutions to an authoritative jury, consisting of representatives from both the business and academic communities.

Eighteen teams participated in the competition, with three of them being recognized as finalists by the jury. Two of the teams securing positions in the top three included four students from the Vocational School for Computer Programming and Innovation (VSCPI) in Burgas.

The organization of the high school students' participation in the hackathon was supported by Boyan Petrov - manager of the building fund at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Hristo Haralampiev - manager of the building fund at the Department for Language Teaching and International Students and the Alumni Club of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University. The students were mentored by Assoc. Prof. Borуana Pelova from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration.

FEBA at Sofia University, together with the Sofia University Branch in Burgas, continue to support the development of students from the Vocational School for Computer Programming and Innovation (VSCPI) in Burgas, through a series of upcoming joint initiatives focused on successful career realization.
