The Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Hub at Sofia University, in collaboration with the US Patent Office, is organizing a one-week course on the protection and management of intellectual property and technology transfer within the case law system. We are pleased to invite you to participate.

The course will be held onsite from March 5 to March 11, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in room 128 of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, located at 125 Tsarigradsko Shose Blvd, block 3, Sofia. The program of the event is available here .

This program is specially developed for representatives of the academic community involved in the management of intellectual property in universities and research organizations, as well as for researchers, young scientists, and students.

During the course, we will cover topics related to the peculiarities of the precedent legal system compared to the European legal system in acquiring protection and managing industrial property rights, with a focus on trademarks and industrial designs. We will also discuss technology transfer strategies and provide practical examples of university entrepreneurship.

The course will be taught by well-known and established American practitioners and experts in the fields of trademarks, industrial designs, technology transfer, and intellectual property.
