In a remarkable collaboration, the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Sofia University hosted on the 23rd and 24th of January 2024 а simulation event for the EU Justice Insight project, organized by The Future Now Association. This event marks a milestone in the project's aim to demystify the judicial proceedings of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU), offering participants a unique, hands-on learning experience.
The EU Justice Insight project, supported by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union and involving partners from Slovakia, Bulgaria, and Italy, focuses on increasing awareness and understanding of EU law and justice. By creating and utilizing datasets, visualizations, interactive maps, and multimedia reports, the project seeks to foster active participation and improve dialogue on EU judicial proceedings.
The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University provided the perfect setting for this educational simulation. Participants, chosen from a strong pool of candidates, were immersed in a practical scenario that simulated the workings of the CJEU, with a case, focusing on energetics. The simulation was not only a learning opportunity but also a demonstration of Sofia University's capacity to support and enhance educational projects of significant relevance.
Assoc. Prof. Atanas Georgiev, Dean of the Faculty, along with guest speaker Savina Ezekieva from ZOV News, contributed their expertise, offering participants insights into the simulated case and the importance of effective communication with the media.
