Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, through its Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA), has been accepted in the Global Business School Network (GBSN). On March 15, FEBA received the official invitation to become part of the GBSN community, a prestigious network of over 150 leading business schools from 58 countries committed to making a profound impact on sustainable development worldwide through education, research, and community engagement.
„The mission of GBSN is to improve access to quality, locally relevant management and entrepreneurship education for the developing world. We believe that business and management skills are important drives of economic and social development. And, by connecting business schools with each other and with other organizations across sectors, we can facilitate collective action to build more inclusive and sustainable communities. From our conversation, it is clear that our work is aligned with the school’s vision of “coaching the brightest minds into purposeful leaders of business, public institutions, and communities” as articulated in its strategic plan“, the invitation by the GBSN CEO Dan LeClair, PhD says. “We are interested in building on school’s interest and experience in a wide range of areas, including energy, finance and fintech, and entrepreneurship development. We recognize the opportunity to benefit from your overall international experience across Europe and beyond, especially when it comes to economic transformation”.
“The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” is not only the leading Bulgarian business school, but also the first internationally accredited school in Bulgaria – by AMBA, the only member of the AACSB network, and the first one to join the GBSN. FEBA is also member of PRME and UN Global Compact, as well as regional European business education networks. Our international accreditation and certification partners include ACCA, the ICAEW, the CFA Institute, and the International Atomic Energy Agency, and our corporate and institutional partners network includes leading businesses and organizations. This new membership will allow us to realize the full potential of our international outreach, in conjunction with GBSN’s mission and with the partnership of all the GBSN members.” said Assoc. Prof. Atanas Georgiev, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”.
Joining the GBSN comes a year after FEBA received accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA), one of the world's leading authorities on post-graduate business education.
