On 27.02.2024, Prof. Dr. Russell Cooper from the European University Institute, Florence, Italy, will conduct a one-day workshop on Dynamic Programming in Economics (Topics in Dynamic Programming) for doctoral and master's students at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration.

The workshop will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in hall 520 at FEBA, with a lunch break from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. The first part of the event will include an overview of applied dynamic programming. After the break, examples of dynamic programming applications for households and firms will be presented.

Prof. Dr. Russell Cooper is a world-renowned researcher in the field of dynamic programming, with numerous publications in top economics journals such as the American Economic Review, Quarterly Journal of Economics, Journal of Political Economy, Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Monetary Economics, and others. His textbook on dynamic programming, „Dynamic Economics: Quantitative Methods and Applications“ (co-authored with Jerome Adda), is a standard reference for courses in the field.
