At the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, an event was held with prospective master’s students from the “Human Resource Management and Development” programme. It was part of the course “The Game as a Means of Teaching and Learning” and focused on the application of game-based approaches in the education of future human capital specialists.
A team of lecturers, consisting of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Silvia Tsvetanska, Chief Assist. Prof. Dr. Aleksey Potebnya, and Assist. Prof. Teodor Daskalov, presented innovative techniques, game-based experiments, and practical training models for learning and development. Participants had the opportunity to become familiar with various methods aimed at active learning, collaboration, reflection, and the development of key professional skills.
During the final two days of the training, the prospective master’s students applied game-based methods in a 3D environment and participated in reflective tasks, outdoor initiatives, and experiential learning activities. These formats enabled participants to explore the relationship between play, group dynamics, motivation, and organizational learning processes.
The learning activities were implemented within the framework of the Gamification Transformation Lab at the Department of Business Administration. They demonstrated the potential of game-based and experiential approaches as effective tools for fostering engagement, creativity, and innovative thinking in human resource management and development.
