At an official ceremony held on 24 November in the Rectorate of Sofia University, the annual “Quality Mark of Sofia University” awards were presented. This prestigious initiative recognizes good practices, innovative solutions, and sustainable achievements that contribute to the development of the University’s quality management system.

This year, the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) was distinguished in the category “Significant Innovation” for the premiere development and presentation of the interactive installation G80 – a unique digital tool created by the artistic collective Fragmentin.

G80 was installed at the initiative of the ESG Lab team at FEBA. The award was presented by the Rector of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” Prof. Dr. Georgi Valchev to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marina Stefanova.

“The award is a recognition that FEBA not only follows good practices but sets new standards for quality. The G80 installation reflects our belief that education should be interactive, accessible, and inspiring. I am grateful to the entire team who worked with professionalism and dedication to turn this idea into reality. I would also like to emphasize that all nominees this year presented impressive and valuable achievements, demonstrating the strength and potential of our university community”, said Assoc. Prof. Stefanova.

Receiving the “Significant Innovation” prize highlights the role of FEBA as a leader in implementing modern educational and scientific practices, as well as its ongoing commitment to digitalization, quality, and modernization of the academic environment. The distinction acknowledges the team’s work and efforts to develop new standards that contribute to the overall improvement of the University’s quality system.

The ceremony took place on the eve of the Patron’s Day of Sofia University and brought together faculty members, staff, and representatives of the academic community to celebrate the year’s significant achievements. The “Quality Mark” is unique in Bulgarian higher education and aims to encourage the development of good practices and sustainable models within the University.

The G80 award reaffirms the position of FEBA as an innovator in education, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development — and places strong emphasis on its future efforts to create new standards and digital solutions in the academic environment.
