On June 5, 2025, in honor of World Environment Day, the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration is pleased to invite you to a free screening of the documentary "Common Ground" — a film that aims to raise awareness and inspire action toward restoring the health of the Earth’s soil.
- Date: June 5, 2025
- Time: 6:00 PM
- Venue: Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Room 401
- Address: 125 Tsarigradsko Shose Blvd., 4th floor
Soil is the foundation of life, but today it is under threat. More than 50% of the world’s arable soils are already degraded, and if this trend continues, it will endanger our food security, biodiversity, and climate.
The screening is part of the United Nations’ global initiative for World Environment Day, which in 2025 is held under the theme “Beat Plastic Pollution” and hosted by the Republic of Korea. The theme highlights the urgent need for collective action to combat plastic pollution, which affects all aspects of the environment—including soils.
Admission is free.
Following the screening, there will be a short discussion on the connection between soil health, sustainable agriculture, and the fight against plastic pollution.
Join us in marking this important day with an inspiring film and a meaningful conversation about the future of our planet!
