108 bachelor’s graduates from the Class of 2025 of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA) received their diplomas for completed higher education. Four of them graduated with honors. The ceremony took place in the Aula of the Rectorate of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”.

The host of the ceremony was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ivan Angelov, Vice-Dean at FEBA. The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atanas Georgiev opened the event and welcomed his youngest colleagues in the year when FEBA marked 35 years since its restoration within Sofia University. He addressed the graduates and recalled that in the same hall, several years ago, their symbolic journey at the university had begun. According to him, the bachelor’s degree is not the end, but the beginning of a long process of learning. Assoc. Prof. Georgiev emphasized that lifelong learning lies ahead of them and advised them to continue developing through new knowledge and skills, as well as professional projects.

One of the most significant challenges, according to him, is artificial intelligence. He urged the graduates not to fear that machines will take their jobs, but also not to be among those who use technology without understanding it, stressing that adaptability and fast learning will be among the most essential qualities in the modern world.

The Dean called on the graduates to thank the community that connects them for what it has given them and to remember that these people will stand by them in their future professional steps. He wished them to preserve and further develop these relationships in the years to come and reminded them not to forget to thank their families, who supported them from their first steps toward knowledge until their last day at the university.

Assoc. Prof. Georgiev expressed his sincere gratitude to the graduates for their active participation in classes, extracurricular activities, international competitions, summer schools, conferences, and other events, where they represented the university and the faculty with great distinction, often taking first places in competition with the best universities in Bulgaria and abroad.

The Dean also thanked all his colleagues—faculty members and administrative staff—who make all the processes accompanying education possible. “My wish for you is to be happy with what you do”, said Assoc. Prof. Georgiev in conclusion, encouraging them to continue seeking their better selves.

He further noted that for the graduates, the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration is now a part of their lives and expressed his hope that it will continue to attract them again and again for new forms of cooperation. The Dean wished all graduates success and courage for new achievements.

The Vice-Rector of Sofia University Prof. Reneta Bozhankova, addressed the graduates with congratulations on her own behalf and on behalf of the Rector Prof. Georgi Valchev. Speaking to the graduates, she noted that they are marking an important stage of their journey today—graduating from FEBA of Sofia University. “These were years of daily discoveries, sometimes difficulties, at other times joys and successes, new knowledge, collegial contacts, as well as international opportunities for study and development. But the diploma you receive today is also a route for a new journey—toward the master’s and doctoral programs of our university, toward your professional realization, toward leadership in the economy, toward governance of the state, toward entrepreneurship, and undoubtedly toward participation in the global dialogue about the future of societies”, said Prof. Bozhankova.

She emphasized that today is the moment to express gratitude and appreciation—to the lecturers and the management team for the high standards they set, for creating conditions for a successful career start, and for the support they provide to each student, as well as to parents and families for their support over the years.

“From this day on, colleagues, you are part of the great alumni community of the university—a community that brings together generations, professionals, and leaders”, the Vice-Rector noted, urging the graduates to maintain their ties with the university and to share their successes to inspire future students.

Prof. Bozhankova wished everyone the courage to choose new paths, the curiosity to discover unknown horizons, and the confidence that every step forward is part of their personal and professional story.

With these words, Prof. Bozhankova officially declared the Class of 2025 of FEBA graduated.

As part of the ceremony, the graduates were also greeted by Atanas Raykov, founder of AI Recurring Results, who stated that he feels extremely close to the graduates, because although he has studied in other places, the time he spent at FEBA remains closest to his heart.

He spoke about his own professional journey and development and the lessons he had learned. He emphasized that first and foremost, one should ask the question: What can I give to society, what value can I add? Starting from this perspective, the right path to professional realization can be found, a sense of fulfillment can be achieved, knowledge and skills can be further developed, and success can be attained.

Adriana Branicheva, Vice-Chair of the Association of Graduates of FEBA, also congratulated the graduates and emphasized that among them are some of her closest friends. She thanked the graduating class for bringing back the spirit of the faculty after the pandemic.

“If it hadn’t been for you after 2021, today there would be no Business Club, there would be none of the initiatives at the faculty, and we wouldn’t be at this international level with all the achievements you accomplished”, she said. She underlined that the class is united, team-oriented, and can serve as an example, thanking everyone for that. Adriana Branicheva invited all graduates to take part in the activities of the Faculty Alumni Club, emphasizing that together they can achieve great things.

Greetings on behalf of the graduates were delivered by Raya Georgieva from the program “Economics and Finance”(French Program). On behalf of all graduating students, she expressed deep gratitude to the faculty’s lecturers—for their patience, care, and mentorship. “You shaped us not only as young professionals, but also as responsible individuals who care about the world”, Raya Georgieva emphasized, also thanking families, friends, and parents. She called on her colleagues to continue learning, because learning never stops throughout life, and to carry the name of Sofia University with dignity and confidence.

The celebration continued with the awarding of diplomas.
