On March 25, 2024, at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA), a week dedicated to the profession of "economist" began. The event was organized by the Career Center at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" and the Department of Economics. It was opened by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sonya Georgieva, Head of the French program at the faculty. Prof. Dr. Eleonora Stancheva-Todorova, Operational Director at the Career Center, also participated in the opening. The event was moderated by doctoral student Veselina Shalamanova.
The event continued with career guidance by Nadya Stoyanova and Maria Ilieva from the "Career Development" sector at Sofia University. Students received valuable advice on finding the most suitable job for them.
In the "Face to Face - Meeting with Employers" session, students from the first and third year of the "Economics and Finance" and "Business Administration" programs discussed open job positions and internship programs with representatives from the National Revenue Agency, Bulgarian National Bank, Customs Agency, Ministry of Finance, UniCredit Bulbank AD, OBB AD, and DZI Health Insurance.
The day continued with a discussion on the achievements and challenges facing the National Revenue Agency. Nikolay Mishovski, Secretary-General of the Agency, acquainted the students with the specifics of the work of employees from its various structures, career advancement opportunities, social benefits, and offered internships. The lecturer emphasized the transformation process that makes the institution a competitive employer in the business sector.
Concurrently, a meeting was held with students from French Language School "Alphonse de Lamartine" No 9. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sonya Georgieva and Assist. Prof. Lydia Kabatliyska-Andonova presented FEBA and the French language training programs, specializing in "Economics and Finance" and "Business Administration".
Participants in the event had the opportunity to share their impressions of the day during an informal lunch provided by FEBA.
