The Vocational School for Computer Programming and Innovation (VSCPI) in Burgas is the first school in Bulgaria where the "Artificial Intelligence Programming" major is offered. In late 2023, Burgas High School attained the status of an associated school at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". One strategic objective is to solidify initiatives with partner institutions and business leaders to provide high-quality education aligned with international standards, both theoretically and practically.

One of the initial partnership initiatives is to provide practical training for students specializing in artificial intelligence programming. Schwarz IT Bulgaria, a technological leader and main partner of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration in developing the field of "Artificial Intelligence for Business and Finance", offers lecturers, mentors, and practical cases. These resources allow high school students to gain insights into various practical aspects of their field of study.

On February 14, a team from the Data&AI department of Schwarz IT Bulgaria visited the high school. Pencho Dobrev, the department director, delivered a lecture in the school's conference hall and engaged in an active discussion, addressing students' questions. In the coming months, Ivan Popov and Slav Yolov, part of Mr. Dobrev's team, will mentor two student teams. Ivan Popov introduced his group to a case study in the renewable energy market to help young talents develop their skills. Slav Yolov will assist a second team in building a personalized chatbot to support various aspects of the high school's activities.

The students have already begun working on their assigned tasks, with weekly mentoring sessions scheduled. The practical training's final week will occur in an academic setting provided by the SU Branch in Burgas. There, students will collaborate with their Schwarz IT Bulgaria mentors to finalize their program solutions and present them to their classmates, teachers, and professors from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at SU "St. Kliment Ohridski".
