The session was opened by Professor Simeon Evstatiev, CSR Director, and Professor Diana Mishkova, CAS Director.

The session was attended by scholars from Sofia University (Faculty of Classical and Modern Philology, Faculty of History, Faculty of Philosophy), the American University in Bulgaria, some institutes of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (the Institute of Historical Studies, the Institute of Balkan Studies with the Center of Thracian Studies, the Institute of Ethnology and Folklore Studies with the Ethnographic Museum), as well as the Estonian Museum of Literature.
